Due to the reduced staffing numbers our opening hours have changed and we are open MONDAY to FRIDAY 8am to 5pm and SATURDAYS 10am to 1pm. We continue to provide 24/7 emergency care as well as some essential care. Please be aware it may take us longer than usual to respond to queries that you send us.
Please DO NOT turn up at the practice unannounced, you MUST phone first and DO NOT COME TO THE SURGERY IF YOU ARE DEMONSTRATING CLINICAL SIGNS OF COVID-19!

The question we always ask when treating animals at Orchard Vets is “what would I do if it was my pet?” The patient always comes first and we understand that it’s not just an animal we are treating but a much loved family member who deserves to be treated with dignity and respect.
A visit to the vets can sometimes be a stressful experience for you and your pet. That’s why we’ll do everything possible to put you both at ease. From our friendly and caring reception staff to our highly trained nurses and expert veterinary surgeons, you will find the same level of care and compassion throughout our practice.
At Orchard Vets we operate a completely transparent pricing policy, with price lists in waiting and consulting rooms. We don’t attract clients with subsidised prices up-front, only to charge higher fees later; ultimately costing you more. With us, what you see is what you get, and that means fair prices, a friendly and professional service and unrivalled treatment facilities.
Veterinary nurses work within the Veterinary team alongside the vets, providing high level nursing care and support to sick and injured pets.
It is a very demanding but rewarding role which takes you outside of normal 9-5 working hours, involving evening and weekend work as our on-call service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
