COVID 19 UPDATE – We have started inviting clients back into the practice however in order to maintain social distancing we are allowing just 4 clients/visitors in, at any one time.  When numbers are reached, you may be offered a pager/buzzer as an alternative and asked to wait outside.  Face coverings are required and if you do not have your own, they can be purchased from us.  Do let us know if you suffer from any conditions that makes you exempt from wearing one.

We kindly request only one member of the family attends, where possible and aim to get for us at the correct time for your appointment to avoid ongoing delays.

Our standard opening hours are back to normal and can be found here

DO NOT COME TO THE SURGERY IF YOU ARE DEMONSTRATING CLINICAL SIGNS OF COVID-19! Thank you once again for your patience.

Eagle eyed clients may have noticed a slight change at Orchard Vets recently. On our literature and letterheads a small “ltd” has appeared. Those three letters signify that, after eighty years of being a partnership (for so long the traditional model for veterinary businesses), we have now become a limited company.

You might be asking what this means for you and your pet. The answer is a reassuring “nothing”. You’ll be delighted to hear that Orchard Vets will be continuing to be a proudly independent, privately owned general veterinary practice. We will continue to be open for you seven days a week and to provide out of hours emergency care ourselves, operating out of our spacious, custom-built veterinary clinic at any hour, night or day. There will be no change in our high standards of service, our professionalism and our commitment to excellence in all things from clinical work to customer service to continuing training and development for all staff.

Our excellent Pet Health Scheme will continue to allow you to manage the costs of looking after your pet at a discount and in easy monthly payments and our nurses will still be doing free nursing clinics, offering advice on that new puppy or kitten or what to do about fleas, worms and other creepy-crawlies and our reception staff will be their same welcoming selves with biscuits at the ready to charm our animal visitors.

In short we are proud to announce it is definitely “business as usual” here at Orchard Vets!
