For repeat medication requests, please order at least 24 hours in advance by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org or by telephoning 01458 832972. You will be requested to pay prior to collection.

Here at Orchard vets we appreciate that the current situation is very alarming for everyone. Whilst we are taking all reasonable precautions with regard to the coronovirus epidemic we appreciate that some of you may have concerns about visiting us with your pets at this time.
For those of you who have to come to the practice for an appointment or to collect medication or food, we have hand sanitizer available in reception for when you arrrive and also for when you leave the building. Please also feel free to use the facilities in the cloakroom to wash your hands with soap and water.
From today onwards we will be asking clients with appointments to wait for their appointment in their car and the vet will come and get them when they are ready. Please let reception know that you have arrived by either calling from your mobile or alternatively by coming in and letting reception know, then returning to your car.
If coming in to collect medication or food for your pets, if possible could you please pay over the phone in advance of collection to minimise your time and contact in the practice. In addition where possible we would ask that when collecting medications you drive to the green gates by the Farm Entrance and make yourself known (a beep of the horn!) a member of staff will come and ask who you are collecting for and bring your medication/ food to your car. Unfortunately if you have not been able to pay over the phone in advance then you will be asked to come into the practice for payment.
If you walk to the practice for either a consultation or collection then you may be asked to wait outside if the weather is appropriate, alternatively you may be asked to wait in the waiting room respecting appropriate social distancing.
In addition in an effort to enforce social distancing to protect both our staff and yourselves we will be delaying routine 6 month health checks and nurse clinics for a period of 6 weeks. If you have an appointment for one of these, a member of staff will be in contact to arrange an alternative appointment date. If you are due to book one in this time period then please be aware that we will only be taking bookings after this 6 week period. If you are on the Orchard Health Plan, your pet is unwell, and you are due a 6 month health check then you will still be able to book, however this is only for unwell pets.
Although we currently have no staff off in self isolation, over time, as with every other business, we will be expecting some staff shortages and as such we would ask that you bear with us and be prepared for some slight increases in waiting times.
On that note, unfortunately we are experiencing some delays in the delivery of our food orders and this may potentially also affect medications in the future. Currently our deliveries are prioritising medications, however due to the large demand on our suppliers and the courier services unfortunately the food deliveries are currently being delayed. We are still expecting orders to be fulfilled as usual but unfortunately not with our usual next day delivery. Food that has already been ordered we are expecting to be with us by Monday at the latest however obviously we cannot guarantee it. We will call you as usual when your order arrives with us and is ready for collection.
If for whatever reason you are unable to leave your home (either through self-isolation or government recommendation) and your pet is sick then we would ask a member of family or friend to bring your pet to us, if this is not possible then please call on 01458 832972 to discuss the situation. In addition if you cannot get to us to collect medication then ideally a friend or family member should come to collect the medication, however if this is not possible then please call on 01458 832972 and we can discuss how we can help.
