You will be instructed to press 1 if your call is is an emergency which will automatically transfer you to a member of the team or automatically to our answering service, if you are calling out of hours. If you call is out of our usual opening hours and you are having any problems getting through, you can also dial 01223 849784 which will take you directly through to our out of hours provider.
This number is monitored 24/7, 365 days a year.
Rest assured – it will always be one of our own vets who responds. We do not use other practices or corporate providers for our emergency out-of-hours service.
Our professional team of vets can provide free advice over the telephone and advise whether you need to bring your pet to the practice for immediate treatment. Please don’t hesitate to call them if you are at all concerned.
Please be aware that because of the nature of out of hours emergencies, a night time or weekend appointment will be more expensive than seeing a vet during usual hours. They will discuss this with you at the time of your telephone call. Please consider pet insurance to give you peace of mind that your pet will be able to receive the best possible care, 24 hours a day.
Current out of hours consultation costs are £288.48 between 8am and 11pm, and £314.71 after 11pm (inclusive of VAT)
