Orchard Vets are looking to recruit a part time approved TB tester to work alongside our 7 vets as part of a friendly and supportive team. Given the nature of TB testing hours may be flexible, but we envisage 2 full days per week. Our ideal candidate will already be approved by APHA for TB testing, but training will be provided and funded for the right candidate.
The job will include:
11 days paid holiday (or pro-rata)
Ongoing training and revalidation fees
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
Be at least 18 years old.
Hold a valid driving license and passport.
Be able to provide your own vehicle (mileage will be paid)
Hold at least 3 graded GCSEs or equivalent qualifications, in English, Maths, and a science or food production subject.
Clear a “disclosure and barring” check.
There is also a need for at least six month’s cattle handling experience or alternatively three years of experience in a government job. An example would be working for a Local Authority providing certain inspection or authorisation activity.
