Farm Animal Practice
Orchard Veterinary Group prides itself on providing a top quality and cost effective
service to farmers. Our farm practice is predominantly dairy with some beef and sheep.
Our large animal partner, Martin Green, is a specialist in cattle health and production
and our specialist services include:-

We provide a computerised recording service for our dairy farmers that allows analysis and an early warning of poor fertility and disease. This also fulfils the requirement for disease recording as a part of the National Dairy Farm Assurance Scheme.
We are committed to the farming sector and have contributed in many various aspects of frontline research in the past five years that has made improvements in the health of dairy cows and profitability of dairy farming (see link to research).
We also perform duties on behalf of DEFRA including TB testing both routine and pre-movement.
Farm Consultancy Work
We carry out a wide range of farm consultancy work.
The specialist who carries out much of this work, Martin Green, has been a dairy practitioner since 1987 and is one of the very few vets to hold the prestigious RCVS Diploma in Cattle Health and Production.
